This Privacy Policy explains how Muse collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you consent to this policy.
Information We Collect
Muse does not collect email addresses, names, or other personally identifying information. All accounts are anonymous. We collect:
- Anonymous account identifiers generated by the app.
- Prompts, uploaded images, and generated images (processed and stored temporarily).
- Device metadata (device model, OS version) for diagnostics and debugging.
- Purchase metadata from the App Store for token fulfillment.
- Application logs and error reports via Sentry for debugging and service reliability.
Face Data and Biometric Information
Muse does not collect, detect, or process face data or biometric information. While photos you upload may contain faces, the app does not perform any facial recognition, facial detection, or biometric analysis. Uploaded photos are sent directly to OpenAI for image generation and are not analyzed for facial features by Muse. No face data is extracted, stored, or shared with any third party.
How We Use Information
- Deliver the Service and process image generation requests.
- Run moderation checks and prevent abuse or harmful content.
- Debug issues and monitor application health via Sentry.
- Monitor usage trends to improve reliability and performance.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. We do not provide your data to any third-party AI providers for model training. Data is shared only with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:
- OpenAI — image generation and content moderation. OpenAI acts as a data processor and does not use your data to train its models.
- Sentry — application logging, error tracking, and debugging.
- Apple — in-app purchase processing and device verification via the App Store.
Data Retention
Images are deleted after you confirm receipt. If receipt is never confirmed, we may delete images after a short retention period (typically 7 days). Job metadata and usage logs may be retained for auditing and operational purposes. Sentry retains log and error data according to its own retention policies.
Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Since accounts are anonymous, we may require your anonymous account identifier to locate your data. We may need to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users 18 and older and does not knowingly collect data from children.
